Ginger Zee, the meteorologist for “Good Morning America,” got engaged to WNBC’s Ben Aaron, it was reported.

ABC News said that Aaron, a correspondent for “New York Live,” proposed to Zee outside of New York City’s Lincoln Center. Zee made the announcement on Thursday.

“I had no idea!” Zee, 32, said. “It was 2:30 p.m.– I had workout clothes on and the construction crew working on the fountain burst into applause–so cute!”

Aaron, 31, apparently hid the ring inside of a bakery pudding.

“We had it on our first date, and actually meet at the fountain often after work,” she said. “So meeting there and banana pudding are very normal. I couldn’t even open the box I was so shaky and crying with happiness.”

Zee, who is originally from Michigan, is the “GMA” meteorologist over the weekend.
